Q-Redew hair steamer

What is the Product?

Handheld hair steamers are a convenient way to travel with all of your hair accessories.

The Q-Redew is a hair steamer. It disperses gentle warm steam to the hair, which temporarily opens the cuticle of the hair and allows moisture to penetrate the hair strand.

When the hair is warm and soft, you can safely manipulate the hair without damage. When you steam dry hair, it stays dry, eliminating the hours needed to air-dry.

How to Use the Product:

Fill the reservoir with water. You will need to plug in the Q-Redew to heat up the water .

Press the trigger to release the steam. You can use the steamer with or without applying your favorite products.

What does the Product Claim to do?

You can use Q-Redew’s steam to reshape, detangle, hydrate, deep condition, stretch, add volume and restyle your hair as you like.

How did the Product Affect My Hair?

I love this device. I have used other home hair steamers,  and have returned them for various reasons because they were not portable, they were difficult to sit under, hard to adjust, and the list goes on and on.

The great thing about this steamer is that it’s handheld. I use this steamer on dry hair while performing the LOC method. I’ve used the Q-Redew while deep conditioning but found that I needed to refill the water multiple times and the process of deep conditioning took longer than I would have liked.

With the LOC method I use the steam as my liquid and then apply my oil and cream. Then I steam each section of my hair starting with my ends first and work my way to my roots.  It leaves my hair feeling soft to the touch.

Between the steamer and the LOC method, the moisture lasts a few days.

Pros and Cons of the Product

  • Pros: It’s affordable, especially if you can find an online coupon. The steamer fits nicely in your hand, making it easier to section your hair and steam. I also use the Q-Redew to steam my face for a wonderful facial. If you try this, make sure not to hold the device too close to your face.
  • Cons: One con is that the reservoir is little, so you may need to refill it two or three times if you have a lot of hair like I do. Also, you need to be very careful not to steam to close to your scalp, as it will get too hot for comfort. I haven’t burned myself yet, but I make sure not to let it get too close.
