What is the Product?
It is a curl definer product.
What Does the Product Claim to do?
This is a curl definer formulated with Quinoa protein and humectants, for control and body building with resistance to humidity, according to ApHogee. Curlific curl definer separates and defines your mane.
It also adds bounce, definition and gives you long-lasting control. It is an anti-humidity formula.
How to Use the Product
I use this product on wet or damp hair because it is a liquid-based cream. When I try to use it on dry hair, the results are not the same.
For instance, when my hair is dry, and I do a ponytail plus braid out, it results in a loose wave. The wave holds, but if you want a well-defined curl, it’s best to use it on wet hair.
When my hair is freshly washed and conditioned, I use the L.O.C method. After I apply the cream, I use the curl definer and then braid my hair.
I believe in layering your products to get the biggest bang for your buck. In this case, it gives you the best moisturized hair possible.
How did the Product Affect my Hair?
I’ve been using this product consistently for two years. It gives my hair great hold for braid outs and doesn’t make my hair crunchy or leave a white film. This product holds my braid outs in humid weather which is great. It’s always nice to know your hair will stayed defined and not puff up.
It smells light, and the scent doesn’t linger. I use this product to set wet hair for a braid out.
I also use it when I roll the ends of my hair with perm rods for a slick and very defined curl. Using the ApHogee Curlific Curl Definer makes my curls last five days without any touch-ups.
I even use this product on my son’s hair to define his curls and to give them a soft hold. It holds up well, considering he is playing all day long.
Pros and Cons of the Product
- Pros: This product has an excellent hold, and my braid outs and curls are well-defined. It adds a bit of protein to my hair in between protein treatments too. Because this product combats humidity, my curls stay in place.
- Cons: I have no cons with using this product. However, other natural queens have said their hair feels dry if they use too much.
